Teresa Cushing has over 20 years of experience as a strategy and global business operations manager. She has an extensive background in leading research development programs, driving technology and innovation, corporate governance, strategy development, and portfolio management. She is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and uses her strengths of strategic thinking, creative problem-solving and process development to deliver outstanding business results. Teresa is a skilled facilitator, dynamic communicator, and an experienced instructor in Six Sigma (DMAIC & DMEDI), Lean Manufacturing, Change Management, Innovation, and Personal Leadership.
Teresa is highly skilled in strategy development and deployment. She was the Enterprise Technology Strategy Manager at Caterpillar, Inc. from 2010 - 2017 where she led the creation of the enterprise-wide technology strategy to support corporate objectives and vision. To ensure the strategy remained a living document, she developed an annual strategy governance process that included an extensive mega-trend analysis, deep competitive research, external partner reviews, and comprehensive goal revisions. She has developed and deployed multimillion dollar technology programs to support corporate sustainability goals and objectives, and is well versed in creating technology and sustainability communications for internal and external business audiences.
Teresa holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University. She was appointed a visiting scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed an Executive Education Program at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.
